ECO-EDU is an idea inspired by the key partnership of teachers with experience in both adult & child education and professionals with different backgrounds, who joint forces sharing the same common interest in the environment, sustainability and Education for Sustainable Development (ESD).
As a training organization, ECO-EDU designs and delivers training courses and structured training events for educators and adults in general in learning mobility experiences, aiming to promote innovation in education.
Our long – more than 25 years – experience in the education sector as well as our regular participation in international training cultivates a deep knowledge of the actual context and helps us provide and host well-organized Erasmus+ KA1 courses as well as participate in Erasmus+ KA2 innovation projects and strategic partnerships with strong emphasis on Outdoor Education, Climate Change etc. All these are firmly guided by a contemporary observational look at the world, combining theory with practice and delivering optimal results tailor cut to the individual attributes, backgrounds and skills of each participant.

Our Team
Fotis is a teacher in primary education with a second degree in Psychology, Philosophy and Pedagogics (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki). His studies include a postgraduate degree in Adult Education (Aegean University) and in Environmental Education (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens) as well as a master in Distance Education with the Use of ICT (e-learning) in the University of Crete. He has worked as a teacher in primary education and as Responsible for Environmental Education in the Directorate of Primary Education of Chania Prefecture. He is head of the Environmental Education Centre of Vamos since 2012 and member of the Board of the local environmental NGO «Ecologiki Protovoulia Chanion» (Ecological Initiative of Chania). He has participated in 4 Erasmus+ KA1 projects and 2 Erasmus+ KA2 partnerships.
Konstantina is an educator, teacher in primary education with postgraduate studies in Drama Therapy and a graduate in the field of Humanities. She is co-author of a book on Environmental Games with suggestions for activities from, within and for the Environment. In 2012 she was appointed Head of the Environmental Education Center of Vamos (EECV) and since 2014 she is Deputy Manager of EECV, a public educational establishment of the Greek Ministry of Education that promotes sustainability and Education for Sustainable Development. The educational programs designed and implemented by EECV with school groups relate to various environmental issues and a variety of educational tools are used. The pedagogic team of EECV develops educational material while organizing and hosting seminars and actions on various issues of environmental interest. Finally, she has participated and successfully completed Erasmus + KA1 courses and KA2 cooperation partnerships.
She has worked as a Secondary Education teacher and since 2012 she has been a member of the pedagogic team of the Environmental Education Centre of Vamos (EECV) in Chania, Crete, a public educational establishment of the Greek Ministry of Education that promotes sustainability and Education for Sustainable Development. The educational programmes implemented by EECV with the school groups and adults pertain to various environmental topics, related to both natural and cultural environment, and make use of a variety of educational methods and tools. At the same time, educational material such as books, ebooks, games etc. is developed, while seminars and actions on various topics are organized and held. Finally, she has participated and successfully completed Erasmus+ KA1 courses and KA2 cooperation partnerships, an enriching experience in all levels.
Antonis graduated with distinction from the Technical University of Crete as an Environmental Engineer. He, then, obtained a Master’s degree from the University of Calgary in Canada. His graduate studies were fully supported by scholarships. His research experience includes participation in European and North American funded projects concerning environment, advanced technological applications and health. His professional experience covers conferences organization, EU/national projects management, development and materialization of educational programs – STEM laboratories. He is a member of European consulting committees regarding economic – ecological justice and sustainability. He has been invited to international conferences to analyze issues of climate crisis, resources management, renewable energy sources, energy communities and sustainable transportation. His service experience includes serving as an elected member of the Senate at the Technical University of Crete, president of the Student Association of Environmental Engineering at the Technical University of Crete, and communications representative of the Graduate Students at the University of Calgary. Currently, he is a member of the board of the organization: “Ecological Initiative of Chania” and member of the cooperative of farmers/agriculturists/consumers of organic products “Gaia”.
Marianna studied Journalism, Mass Media and Communication at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh), and, afterwards, seeking the further study of different aspects of communication, two master’s degrees followed: the first in Translation and Communication at the Department of Italian Literature at AUTh, and, the second in Tourism, Communication and Event Management at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. She has worked for several years in the field of intercultural corporate communication, business development in foreign markets, as well as translation, in Greece and abroad, having constantly set her focus on multicultural contact with the aim of mutually feeding each other with new ideas while exploring fascinating communication channels.
